ENDORSED By The Frederick Douglass Foundation of New York (Action)

Drawing inspiration from Frederick Douglass, who famously proclaimed, “Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave” and encouraging others to realize their potential, we at the Frederick Douglass Foundation of NY (FDFNY) are dedicated to upholding his legacy and principles. Our core focus lies in education, literacy, and equality in education, in hopes of embodying the values for which Douglass fought.
The Greece School district, is facing a concerning reality where reading and math proficiency rates indicate that many students are ill-equipped for success. Teachers, who deeply care about their students and the public education system, echo the urgent need for change.
It is imperative to prioritize safety, accountability and a clear vision that restores the essence of education—building a solid knowledge foundation that fosters a genuine love for learning. We advocate for a curriculum that places emphasis on content-rich literature, a profound understanding of history, fundamental principles in math and science, and a sincere appreciation for art and music.
Students, families, and fellow educators are seeking leaders who can rally us around a shared vision of high-quality schools that cater to the needs of every student in Greece. As our schools grapple with violence, declining proficiency in essential subjects like reading, writing, math and science, and a purposeful lack of accountability, it is vital that the school board comprise of members who will carefully deliberate on the forthcoming decisions required to address these challenges.
Therefore, we proudly endorse Septimus Scott, Jordan Stenzel and Miguel Millan, as we believe they embody the qualities necessary to advocate tirelessly for students, parents, and educators. With a commitment to implementing evidence-based practices in education, each will elevate student achievement, foster strong relationships between families and educators, support the professional growth and retention of teachers and

staff, and bring stability to our schools.
As devoted fathers, taxpayers, and community liaisons, they have stated they will actively fight for parental rights, student welfare, teacher support, and equality in education across the entire spectrum.
The Frederick Douglass Foundation of NY endorses these candidates because we trust that they will contribute invaluable experience to the board and demonstrate the resolve to make tough decisions, ultimately expanding opportunities for all.
For far too long, our school districts have evaded the challenging choices necessary to reconcile the diverse needs and desires of our Greece Central School District families. Join us in endorsing Miguel Millan, Septimus Scott, and Jordan Stenzel.
We believe that students, parents and teachers deserve a school board that champions academic excellence, that possesses a visionary approach and that is dedicated to getting education back on track for every single student.
Together, let us work towards a future where our schools thrive and provide the highest quality education to all.
