Jesus… a socialist?
Boy, if you ever hear a pastor say that, run!
Get out from under their tootalage immediately.
It is both biblically and hermeneutically correct to say Jesus was not a socialist. #truth
That whole idea completely misunderstands Scripture, context, and doctrine.
Now look, coming from me, that’s saying something.
The spirit of socialism says, “They have more, so it’s fair to take and redistribute it.”
But Scripture says the opposite: work hard, be generous voluntarily, and be content with what God provides.
Make it make sense!
I used to be an atheist — then a gnostic who thought “communism in theory” was a great idea…
then dabbled as a witch, a Buddhist, and a few other things along the way.
And yes — with the name Ayesha, to boot.
if you catch my drift
I’ve studied religion pretty deeply — all kinds of it.
When you actually sit down and read Scripture, the human version, concept of socialism / communism is incompatible with scripture, it’s undeniable:
Jesus preached voluntary charity, not state-enforced redistribution.
He taught generosity, compassion, and stewardship. The idea is Moral giving, not government coercion.
Socialism forces redistribution through the state, it compels giving and strips away ownership.
But biblical charity? It’s voluntary, moral, and springs from love and stewardship before God — not from government mandate.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion.
We are to govern ourselves; it’s the changing of our hearts that God is after, not man-made laws pretending to enforce compassion.
And how do you reconcile The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30) with the idea that Jesus was a socialist?
Come on now.
Are we not called to grow in stewardship, responsibility? I read it Is okay for reward to be tied to labor and faithfulness.
Socialism steals that.
Speaking of stealing… let’s not forget the 8th and 10th Commandments.
The 8th Commandment:
“You shall not steal.” — Exodus 20:15
That underscores the biblical right to personal property and the moral sin of taking another’s labor or goods unjustly.
Socialist systems violate this principle by enforcing redistribution regardless of consent.
Again, please tell me — how do you reconcile an actual commandment with the idea of socialism?
And then there’s the 10th Commandment:
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house… or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” — Exodus 20:17
Now that one strikes right at the heart of socialism: envy and entitlement.
It forbids even wanting what isn’t ours. Tgat inward craving for another person’s possessions, success, or reward is sinful.
Hermeneutically — rightly dividing the Word — this whole “socialist Jesus” narrative is a joke.
It’s a sneaky way to steal truth from our hearts and plant division, which the enemy of our souls loves.
That’s his modus operandi: lie, steal, and divide.
And what better way than to convince man to covet, envy, and grow lazy — all while calling it compassion?
Jesus taught personal generosity, not political confiscation.
He modeled compassionate stewardship, not economic collectivism.
The Gospel changes hearts — not tax codes.
And when hearts change, generosity flows freely… without a single government handout required.
