Are Whites and Blacks both “hassled” by police?

I am curious: I am curious if any white folks get “hassled” by the police?

If so, do you video tape it? How do you handle it?

Are blacks “targeted?”

Do we hear about stops and real or perceived injustices more from blacks because we go to the camera or news and whites don’t or does it only happen to blacks?

If you are white, have you been pulled over because you were in the wrong neighborhood?

Have you been asked to leave a certain area because you were making people uncomfortable?

Have you been pulled over or stopped and acted childish and gotten a ticket?

Has someone called the popo on you trying to get in or out of a house?

Get stopped or a ticket for loitering?

And so on… there are all sorts of “I have been wronged” or hassled by the police situations

Or have you ever been unjustly interrogated?

Or do you know of other whites who have had issues with the police? Doesn’t have to be you. Even links or news stories.

This is not about bashing the police, and I, Ayesha Kreutz, am pro-police! I believe police officers and first responders have a difficult and dangerous job. I am simply curious as to why there are so many news stories and social media posts and hype shown about blacks. So I posted the question on my facebook page and so far have found hundreds of whites have also been “improperly” targeted, or hassled by the police. (I use quotes because that is people perception and not necessarily the facts or the truth.

What is the difference in the reporting of such things?

Here are some of the responses – Feel Free to add your experience – This is just an experiment

Adam JunodMy dad never got pulled over without a cop at least unsnapping the holster. Always given a hard time.

Paul Rusin – You especially get harassed if you know your rights, and aren’t afraid to speak up. Cops don’t like their authority challenged, even if they are in the wrong.

Derek Beckwith –  Yes, I got lost once and got nailed thinking I was there to buy drugs, he had his hand on his weapon, and I verbally told him what I was going to do before moving my hands. I have had long talks with my kids, 13 and 9, how to handle police if you are ever stopped so not to get shot because they have seen shootings on tv.

Ginny –  I- I am a white woman who does not cause problems BUT I have had 4 run ins with cops. I am not the blonde thin bimbo so I get the tickets, even when the cops lie and I call them on it too, still get the tickets. I have been bullied by 2 cops and lied to by 2, but I still acted respectful as I criticized their lies . The ones bullying I did not say jack nothing to , they have guns and I do not, I figure God will take care of them.

Carolyn – Oh, one other thing that was weird in Texas when I was in my 20s. I had bought a car for $50, and it didn’t have a hood. I kept getting stopped for that (and laughed at too, but that’s another story). The police didn’t seem to know that, yes, it was legal to drive a hoodless car then in Texas. No idea if it’s illegal now after I tormented them.
Marc ScogginWhen I was 17, I was on the way back from a church dance with my younger nephew and we were pulled over and thrown on the ground in the snow while they searched our car. We were in nice clothes. Shirts and ties. They claim that they saw marijuana seeds on my backseat. They were just Pebbles. After they searched my car, they pulled us up and said you’re free to go.
Ed Swartzenberg I drive a lot for work…. one of the things I loath is traffic cops.

I can tell you flat out, most of them are total doucebags.

Arrogant, authoritarian, doucebags.

There was one cop in Brighton…..sitting behind me at a red light. My phone rang, i picked it up and answered it (on speaker phone). Moments later the light turned green. I preceded, he threw on the lights. I pulled over (way over, for his safety) he approached the truck with his pistol out, and stood behind the B pillar. Acting irritated and frightened, he asked for my papers…..

He gave me a cell phone ticket, a littering ticket… for what, i have no idea.

And an expired registration ticket….. the registration wasn’t expired….. I brought that to his attention, he said “that’s your problem”…..

When we were done, i went straight to the Brighton PD…. and asked for the highest ranking officer i could see….

Told him in no uncertain terms that this guy is a fucking asshole, who cant handle the authority he was given…I stopped short of filling an offical complaint…. but i told him if i ever see him on the news, for something I’m going to document this conversation, and share this story with anyone that will listen.

Brenna –  PJ was pulled over once in Irondequoit while I was with him in the car. They said he looked like somebody who had recently robbed the Target store that was nearby, and we happened to be pulling out of their lot. They were asking where he was over the past few weeks, and I’m glad I was with him because I got to say that he was working at a church camp and I could vouch for his whereabouts. It was a little odd, but maybe he did look like the guy they were looking for.

Michelle Kruger Mitchell I had a period in my life for a good 6 months or so, that it seemed as if every time I went somewhere in my car I was getting pulled over and being questioned. I was about 19-20 years old. It was very frustrating, even though I was let go every single time.
Laura George Many times. I once got stopped and harrassed because my license plate was ‘dirty’. I could tell a lot of stories about encounters I’ve had with cops.

Marc Scoggin Another time, I was walking on my parent’s Street and a cop with search lights came down the road. They grabbed me and put me in the back of their car because there had been a call put in about an intruder in the neighborhood. I wasn’t doing anything wrong, but I happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Laura George Another time I had to get out of the car and do the whole sobriety thing because the cop claimed he smelled alcohol in my car. I tried to tell him it was an apple he was smelling but he thought I was lying.

David Rodman Johnson I avoid authority of all kinds . . it attracts predatory minds.

Jason Gorton I did when I was younger. It depends on the town, and what kind of car you drive. Irondequoit has always been bad.
Tera Ertz I got stopped and checked all the time for no tail light (back when I didn’t have one on my old clunker of a van, and when the one on my car was out for a bit). My son got pulled over three or four times when he was out driving late at McDonald’s in ouSee More
Janet Strief I’ve not been hassled by police. I have been watched, followed, given weird looks and a few have questioned me to find the reason why I’m in “in the hood”.

Shannon Montgomery Grady Was pulled over three times in a 10 month period for a number of either stupid or just false reasons. Once for “appearing” to be texting when I was not and once for allegedly going 70 in a 35 even though I had just left a Red light where I was stopped See More

Laura George Another time a cop followed me for like 10 miles and then stopped me because he said I crossed the yellow line and then searched my car for drugs.
Stanley Levy Whites have 7X the law enforcement interactions that blacks have, experience 2X the number of deaths from police user of force, and receive 1% of the media coverage that blacks receive, regarding their negative interactions with cops.
Greg Jester I got beat by Chattanooga police broken arm and nose , all because I fit the description of a burglar, my family got paid good but I don’t trust police at all

Susannah Cox A relative of mine got stopped in GA for having a NY license plate

Shannon Montgomery Grady Another family members brother was shot at because police thought he fit the description of a bank robber. His dad attempted to go in the back yard to see if they shot him and the police arrested him for it. They fired four rounds into the woods where See More

Janet Strief Oh, and I think figured something out. During my last exploration of the inner city of St Louis (an area close to The Ferguson riots). Not one car stopped at stop signs. They barely slowed their roll. Almost every intersection is a 4 way stop. Most veSee More

Brian Bertha when I was a lot younger I had an attitude that got me hassled I learned it wasnt worth arguing being more sociable gets more positive results does not mean roll over but once a certain level of aggression is reached no reasoning will occur. Like any other group you have good cops and an occasional bad cowboy.

Andrea Alessi Barbato I’ve been pulled over (my younger years), hassled I believe because I had a thug in my car. I didn’t know it nor understand it at the time but he got dropped off never to be heard from again. In retrospect while they did some background check on me See More

Lori Paige Penner Heck yes! Of course, we do. Racists are jerks, and they don’t stop being jerks just because there are no black people around. I’ve been harassed by the police, wrongly accused, wrongly arrested for simply having my own prescription medicine in my purseSee More

Lori Paige Penner My parents got stopped by the police when I was a kid because they were driving their new Volvo through our small town and the officer figured they were up to something because he never saw a car like that.

Eric R. Carlston Among my interactions with police I did have a cop roll up on me a long time ago because someone called to say there was a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood. I was picking a friend up at his girlfriend’s house.

Lori Paige Penner I was stopped by the police because he said someone called in and said I was driving on the shoulder. My parents were in the car and we all told him he must have the wrong car because I never drive like that. He still gave me a ticket.

Dan Kulp I think blacks and whites could really come together when they realize that many of the issues are more because of a rise of a police state and an abuse of power and less because of racism. Here is one particular story close to my heart and it got barely any coverage and no national outrage –
Jeff Talbut I get pulled over quite a bit because “I fit a Profile”, in two differing areas…1) I fit the “Drug Buyer” profile in certain low income parts of town, I have not had a drink or a drug in over 30years, in fact when I am there it is because I am meeting with someone to help them to do the same thing, I stay polite, the cops stay polite, everyone goes on their way. before long they get to expect to see me and wave when they do. 2) I worked for a boating Magazine for 8 years, in addition to writing I also did some distribution, dropping latest issues off at every marina, yachtclub, restaurant and boat related location from Port Huron to Buffalo….a whole lot of waterfront driving, some in rural areas, much of it in Urban, Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, Erie, Buffalo. “Middle aged, Tan solo guy in sunglasses, active boating area, late in the day, on a weekend, driving a Jeep” is a nearly guaranteed “DUI Stop”. They stop me…I’m fine. I stay polite, they stay polite, we all go on our way, before long they come to recognize me on sight and wave. In many ways policing is like fishing…you don’t keep going where you never catch anything, they keep fishing where the catching is consistently good.
Lori Paige Penner I once had to pay a speeding ticket 3 times because they kept losing their records of my payment and so they arrested me for non-payment….TWICE! And I paid it 3 times.

Alert – Cuomo targeting prolife senator

Some very bad news for New York’s women and children and ALL of New York.

It looks like Governor Cuomo has grown impatient with Brooklyn pro-life Democrat Senator Simcha Felder and his refusal to join the Senate Democrat Conference and reports are saying they will seek to unseat Sen. Felder this fall.

If that happens the entire legislature will be tipped in favor of the pro-aborts and Cuomo’s ‘progressive’ social agenda

This is a battle to gear up for. Pray saints and put action to that prayer.

How I Became a Republican

How I Became a Republican

By Ronald F. Owens Jr.

August 1, 2017

I am the son of a United States Air Force sergeant who was born on an Air Force base near Tokyo, Japan. Raised in a Christian home, my mother and father transported my three siblings and me in our 1969 beige Volkswagen bus to three Sunday morning services. After lunch and afternoon nap, they took us to Sunday evening service. We attended Bible study on Tuesday, went to mid-week service on Wednesday, and sang at choir rehearsal on Thursday. On Friday, we had family fun night. On Saturday, we ate pancake breakfast in the morning and cleaned the house and worked in the yard in the afternoon. Then it was back to church on Sunday as we started that regimen all over again.

When we weren’t in the church, we attended prayer meetings, church seminars, and conventions. My parents exposed us to the some of the most prominent ministries of the 1970s, such as Corrie Ten Boom, Jamie Buckingham, Kenneth Copeland, Kathryn Kuhlman, John Osteen, Derek Prince, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggart and David Wilkerson.

We read the Holy Bible as a family and had family Bible studies. We prayed as a family. We were also taught to read, study and pray individually. Secular music was unacceptable in our house. My mother even screened contemporary Christian music to make sure it was scriptural and spiritually edifying. Continue reading

The Deposited Seed – Part 1

I must confess that at the beginning of this election season, I saw little to no potential in Sanders, because of both his obscurity, and, I must admit, the fact that he’s a 74-year-old straight white male. In popular crowds today, such a person doesn’t typically gain much, if any, popularity. But as time progressed and the predictable media began to critically dissect the only person with whom they were familiar (Hillary Clinton), Bernie took center stage.

Contrary to popular belief, the idea of free college tuition is not a novel one, nor is it original to Sanders’ proposed agenda. President Obama proposed a bill last year that would provide free community college, costing $80 billion in total. Although this bill wasn’t nearly as audacious as Sanders’ promise of free tuition across the board, it’s certainly not an original concept of Sanders’ design. He’s used it as a means of his success, and a vehicle toward the white house. Whether he will follow through with it or not if he’s elected is in the hands of time.

The reason for his success is not just the promise of free college, though. People see him as synonymous with that idea, even though his plan stretches far beyond that. As a self-proclaimed socialist, he wants to tear down big businesses, or wall street, as he calls it. It’s an idea that many politicians and activists share, though few have gained any significant traction. As a matter of fact, Sanders has often stood alone in the Senate, despite fellow Senators on both aisles urging him to water down his plans from such a leftist agenda.

From what I can tell, Sanders is the most noble of the three presidential candidates. The corruption of both Clinton and Trump can be smelled from miles away. But I think in some way, although misguided, Sanders is trying to do the right thing, separate from his own career and paycheck. Hillary’s political gambit is absurdly transparent, and from what we can see, the presidency means little to Trump aside from another notch in his belt. Sanders seems to be campaigning with the intention of actually helping people economically, giving little regard to his own career. It’s a cause I commend, misguided and narrow-minded as he may be. There are few men such as him.

However, he’s done something very powerful: he’s planted the seeds of socialism in the minds of the next generation. Yes, few in federal politics support his ideas, but the power has always in some way lied in the will of the people, and in this case, he’s expertly tapped into their sense of disenfranchisement. So while he may not even see the results in his lifetime, he’s instilled in this generation a familiarity, sympathy, and identity with socialism. Should another like him campaign with a similar agenda in four years, we could very well see a radical change in America, not just affecting business, but federal politics, entertainment, international affairs, and even religion. This is the preface to something large, should others like him take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity.

I can tell you right now that Sanders will not win the election. Yes, he’s gained a lot of traction, and yes, he’s from what I can tell a good man, and yes, he’s given Hillary Clinton a run for her money, but she will come out on top. She has more allies in Washington, a more socially accepted agenda, and she’s banking on the notion of becoming the first woman president, which strikes a chord with many people. But win or lose, Sanders has made himself into an icon of western socialism and sowed a seed in this generation that will be reaped in due time. He’s even made himself into the antithesis of Trump, who represents big business, corruption, and brazen words. All in all, Sanders has introduced America to a revised version of socialism that will in one way or another alter the power in this country.

More to come in part two.

Open Letter to Monroe County Republican Leaders Sick of the Corruption

An Open Letter to Monroe County Republican Leaders and Anyone who’s Sick of the Corruption

January 5, 2015

About a month ago, Republican leaders, elected officials and petition passers received an anonymous letter outlining several issues that freedom-loving Republicans in the Rochester area despise about our out-of-control County Chairman Bill Reilich, who runs our once beloved Republican Party as a farm team for the Democrats.

The anonymous letter from the Coalition of Republican Leaders listed exhibits A to I, each showing another instance of alleged betrayal to the cause of the Republican Party. For those who haven’t read this letter, here’s a brief synopsis.Continue reading

I liked this so I am sharing with you all

Author/ Radio Guest Speaker on Muslim Brotherhood in America

This New Year’s I am calling on every Patriot, every person who loves America, the beacon of freedom to the world. I would like for every red-blooded American who sees the dangers those in the White House and those in high positions in the Congress like John Boehner who are NOT defending the Constitution as is their sworn duty, to stand and be counted. How?

This is simple. Find a local patriotic group like the 912 groups or a local Tea Party or an Act! For America group and start sharing what you learn. Get active in your local political parties. If you are a Democrat and do not want the Democrat party to be represented by Communists become a committeeman/ woman and stop them. If you are a Republican and do not want nepotism and RINO syndrome to affect you get involved! Become a local committeeman/woman.

It is time to stop the whining and complaining! Its time to stand up and take over the defunct political parties and return our great country to what it once was! We can no longer stand by and watch a president make law when that is unconstitutional!

What are we teaching our children today if we do nothing? That yes, Presidents can make laws? Last time I taught US History and Government there were three branches of government! Every person in Congress must be put on a warning that we intend to remove them from office if the President is not removed from office for thinking he can write law! That means people in both parties must be removed for violating their oath of office to defend the Constitution of the United States.

How do we start? With the 12 days of Constitutionalists!

January 2nd call your Congressman or woman and put them on notice that you expect them to file for impeachment for usurpation of power!

January 5th call your Senators and demand they take action to repeal Obamacare! After call the House has passed it before. It’s time the Senate did so also!

January 6th call the House Intelligence Committee and demand the investigate the Muslim Brotherhood’s presence in the White House! If they ask what presence ask them to investigate:

  1. How it is that when White House tours ended for the public they did not to for Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups in the US?
  2. How is it possible that Paul Monteiro’s position at the White House has him meeting with so many Muslims, a number highly disproportionate to their percentage of the US population?
  3. How is it possible that several leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council) has been to the White House and met directly with the President?

January 7th call the Senate Intelligence Committee and demand the investigate the Muslim Brotherhood’s presence in the White House! If they ask what presence ask them to investigate:

  1. How a daughter of Muslim Brotherhood Yaqob Mirza could have been present at over 800 meetings in the White House?
  2. How it is that when White House tours ended for the public they did not to for Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups in the US?
  3. How is it possible that Paul Monteiro’s position at the White House has him meeting with so many Muslims, a number highly disproportionate to their percentage of the US population?
  4. How is it possible that several leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council) has been to the White House and met directly with the President?

January 8th call the State Department and file FOIAs demanding to know when they met with members of CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations).

January 9th call your Congressman/woman and ask them to inquire with the State Department about the ethics of meeting with a group the Judicial Branch has stated has given money to Hamas a US declared terrorist entity.

January 12th call your Senators and ask them to inquire with the State Department about the ethics of meeting with a group the Judicial Branch has stated has given money to Hamas a US declared terrorist entity.

January 13th hand write letters to your local Congressman asking when they are going to impeach a President who wants to write laws.

January 14th hand write letters to your Senators asking when they are going to impeach a President who wants to write laws.

January 15th mail those letters. Electronic communication is easily deleted. A deluge of hand written or typed letters is a cause for alarm and concern that Congressional representatives take to heart.

January 16th Schedule a meeting with your local Congressman and Senator. Ask to meet with them or a representative. If you can schedule a meeting for your groups representatives!

January 19th Time for follow calls. Call back and ask what steps have been taken since you called two weeks ago. Demand an answer, after all they work for you!

Thus we begin our stand for the Constitution of the United States!

Some Monroe County GOP Leaders Bailing on Principles? For Control and Power

No one likes a Weak Advocate.

– Rochester, New York  August, 2014
The Republican way is about principle, and what we are seeing is people fighting to obtain or keep power and prestige. We will not be silent.

In NY State’s 138th district, Peterson Vazquez is running against Democrat Assemblyman Harry Bronson on the Republican line. Peterson came here LEGALLY from Puerto Rico years ago and was raised in a Godly home of meager means. Peterson, like many, went through a time of rebellion and dropped out of school, but he overcame it all. He went on to serve in the Army, worked as a tax collector, witnessed first-hand how corrupt the government is, became a conservative Christian and has now chosen to serve the public again by running for the Assembly.

This is an office that is the closest to the people. His desire is to give the people a voice. His values were formed in the church and not by the party puppet masters who call the shots and force their members to play the game. However, having principles has become a problem when it comes to getting support from local Republican Party, run by County Chairman and Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich.

It seems that Peterson would get better treatment from the Republicans if he were coming across the border coughing out drug-resistant TB or if he were a gang member. There’s a not-so-secret agreement in Monroe County between the Republican Party and the Democrat Party- the Democrats get control of the city of Rochester, and the Republicans get to control the county. Because Chairman Bill Reilich doesn’t seem to want to know about Republican minorities, minorities are taken for granted by the Democrats and fully ignored by the Republican Party.

This agreement also allows the parties to use the Independence Party to protect incumbents from challengers. The Independence party has become an incumbent-protection racket for the two main parties to divvy up the elected positions. First they agree who’s on the party line, and then they pass petitions with Democrats and Republicans on those same petitions.

This wouldn’t be a bad thing if only the Independence Party members were doing this, but the County GOP is apparently having Republican County workers pass petitions for this party. Peterson Vazquez wanted to get on the Independence Party line because politicians have been convinced that it’s almost impossible to win in this county without being on this third line. Upon initially inquiring with the County GOP, Peterson was told that Harry Bronson was already on the line, even though petitions hadn’t been passed.

When he told his campaign manager that he wanted to get petitions signed to force a primary for the Independence Party, he discovered that she, as a county worker, couldn’t pass those petitions because she was already obligated to pass petitions with the pre-determined victors Harry Bronson and Andrew Cuomo on them. You read that right. Even though she’s a Republican, she had to pass petitions to get Democrats onto the incumbent-protection party line.

After weighing the situation, Peterson told her that she couldn’t be his campaign manager if she was going to be passing petitions for his opponent. Even after asking headquarters if she could pass them in a different district, where Harry Bronson wouldn’t be on her specific petition, they told her no. She was obligated to pass petitions for Harry Bronson, who is a co-sponsor of the NYS GENDA Bill, which has been dubbed as the “Transgender Bathroom Bill” and as the “Big Pedophile Agenda Bill.” New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms has a position paper on this bill.

This bill has won 65% of the vote in the Assembly, and it failed by only one vote in the State Senate. While the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act pretends to be a gay rights bill for transgenders, it is really a bill that gives rights and access to perverts, pedophiles and rapists. This is another Pedophile Agenda effort to normalize pedophilia using the Gay Agenda as a front. It’s so heinous that even gays should find this offensive, but, for some reason, they support this bill whole heartedly, hopefully out of sheer ignorance.

When it was proposed that Peterson’s campaign manager decide not to pass the petitions, she indicated that she felt that her job would be in jeopardy if she didn’t. While it may not be illegal, it is definitely a problem that the GOP Chairman allegedly forces county workers to pass petitions for radical liberals, even though it violates their consciences. Peterson had to let her go.

He picked up another campaign manager and passed petitions to force a primary on “an opportunity ballot” to get on the Independence line. After weeks of gathering signatures, they took them to the Board of Elections. The petitions were all thrown out for a minor mistake. Neither the Republican representative Peter Quinn nor his Republican underling even bothered to advise Peterson on how to avoid making this mistake or on how to fix it before the petitions were turned in.

While there may have been some little technical reason that these men couldn’t have advised Peterson of this minor omission, do we really believe that a Republican Party that allegedly forces county workers to pass petitions for Democrats, can’t give a Republican challenger a little advice? It’s as if these Republicans on the Board of Elections had been given a directive regarding Peterson’s challenge- ensure that he loses at all costs.

Why is the Republican Party, funded with donations of people with principles, seemingly forcing county workers to pass petitions to protect the incumbency of Democrat Harry Bronson who co-sponsors a bill that does everything it can to empower sexual degenerates? Harry Bronson’s bill, which literally aids and abets perverts, pedophiles and rapists, defines the War on Women. Shame on the Monroe County Republican Party.

If you believe that women and girls need to be protected from predators, donate, volunteer and vote for Peterson Vazquez. Otherwise
keep giving money to the Monroe County GOP that aids and abets Harry Bronson.

Peterson is not running to play the ruling-class establishment’s game. He is running because he is a great example of the American Dream and wants to be a public SERVANT, give the people a voice, clean up the culture of corruption in Albany, help strengthen the economy, protect the Constitution of the United States and help people have the opportunity for upward mobility. This is why The Frederick Douglass Foundation has decided to back Peterson.

The Frederick Douglass Foundation of New York endorses both voting for Peterson Vazquez and voting against Harry Bronson- which ever makes you more comfortable.

But Even the Republican Establishment seems to be working harder to defeat him than they are to actually help other Republicans get elected. With this overt and obvious lack of help from the party, you can rest assured that, if elected, Peterson will answer to a higher power. Wouldn’t that be a breath of fresh air?

It is time to show the establishment the voice of the people matters more than back room deals.

To read more on this Republican Party Corruption and more on the implications of reelecting Harry Bronson, the FDFNY has done an extensive report.

Some in the Republican Party are bailing on what we stand for in favor of power, money and prestige, and we have two choices: condone it (be silent) and move on, or have the courage to speak out.  We have weighed the various pros and cons of being strong, courageous advocates. No one likes a weak advocate, and those who hate truth will also hate us. That is okay.

People will ask: All this over an assembly race, is it worth it? And we say YES! An Assemblyman is one of the closest public servants and voices of the We the People.

I have one great political idea. . . . That idea is an old one…..The best expression of it, I have found in the Bible. It is in substance, “Righteousness exalteth a nation; sin is a reproach to any people” [Proverbs 14:34]. This constitutes my politics – the negative and positive of my politics, and the whole of my politics. . . . I feel it my duty to do all in my power to infuse this idea into the public mind, that it may speedily be recognized and practiced upon by our people. ~ Frederick Douglass

Ayesha Kreutz’s Speech on Cultural Confidence

By Ayesha Kreutz President of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of NY

When asked to come present about the Frederick Douglass Foundation, I started thinking about all the solutions to the problems in America that we come up with but that go no where because, too often, our society fails to execute good solutions simply because it doesn’t actually understand the problems. Then, the other day, on the last page of National Review On Dead Tree, Mark Steyn had a column. In a piece called ““Sharia’s Protector,” Mark Steyn reprised a story, one he’s recounted numerous times in the last decade, on Sir Charles Napier of Great Britain. During colonial times, General Napier was working in British-occupied India, and he was being told about Sutee. This is a Hindu custom where, upon the death of a man, his widow is then burned upon his funeral pyre. In response to the question of whether this will happen while he was in charge, General Napier didn’t get all multiculturally squishy and ask if he can witness this great tradition.

In Mark Steyn’s word, General Napier instead responded: “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: When men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”

These days, this is what we have too little of: Cultural confidence. Without the confidence in our culture, we will loose it. And that is what is happening on a daily basis. We are losing our great American culture because those who’d destroy America are now teaching our children, and now we are going to further federalize this indoctrination system by implementing Common Core, which, among other things, further teaches that America was founded by evil people and that it is indeed evil as a result.

aokOn the other hand, we’ve heard all our lives that America is the greatest country in the world. Well, which is it? If America is the greatest, then wouldn’t that suggest that our culture is the greatest as well? – In the words of Sarah Palin, you betcha.

And that’s where the Frederick Douglass Foundation comes in. We aren’t infected with the multi-culti tendency to pretend other cultures are better than that of America’s and thus allow our own culture to be watered down and soaked in shame over some of the bad things that happened in history. Bad things happen. Our goal is to edify, educate, agitate and empower people. (Book a Speaker HERE)

But let’s consider the left’s method of bringing down America. The Left runs the Democrat Party today, and has no doubt infiltrated the Republican party, just as the liberals have infected the church and it’s no secret to any of us that liberal/progressives are trying to destroy America in just about every way. They’re coming at us from 360 different directions, 24-7. It is up to us to Stand on the truth of Gods Word as well as taking back our party. The Republican Party has been shamed into cowering and biding its time rather than exhibiting the cultural confidence of General Napier. So it is up to we conservatives: Tea Party Patriots and Libertarians who are on board the freedom agenda to CONSERVE that which is great about America and its founding. It is Constitutional Conservatism that unites us.

We need to go over the heads of the liberal infiltrated institutions. The Obama Administration is filled with something FDF member Mack Rights calls Bureaucratic Sclerosis – BS for short. If the Bureaucratic tentacles of government actually worked, there’d be no excuse to make them larger, and because of government’s desire to grow, bureaucratic tentacles are created almost always with the knowledge that inevitable failure will be rewarded largesse. We need to realize this and go over their heads. We need to educate our children outside this insidious governmental system because whole generations are being fed lies upon lies.

The left tries to convince children that The Founding Fathers were evil because they founded a nation on slavery. The Frederick Douglass Foundation teaches how this is incorrect. Slavery existed before the nation did, and it happened to exist here on the land where our nation was founded. Just as Frederick Douglass was born a slave, Thomas Jefferson was born a slaveholder. At the time, the black man was considered property, and his freedom, if he did have it, was fraught with peril. With that in mind, we should give our Founding Fathers some latitude. Upon the issuance of the Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, our Founding Fathers had decided to risk their lives, their fortunes and their honors to throw off the colonial yolk of Great Britain. Ending slavery simultaneously would have been a logistical nightmare that would have all but ensured failure in the Revolutionary War to come.

However, many of the Founding Fathers were indeed anti-slavery. They just weren’t in charge of their own nation. Nonetheless, even slaveholder Thomas Jefferson included wording in the Declaration that would establish a set of bedrock principals that would later necessitate the abolition of slavery- that all men are created equal with the God-given inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. President Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President, would later incorporate these principals in the Gettysburg Address. “Four score and twenty years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

So while the nation’s founding didn’t perfectly coincide with the new world’s shedding of the sin of slavery, it was indeed founded as a nation that would absolutely need to abolish slavery if it were ever to live up to the principals upon which it was founded. The nation wasn’t founded so the white man could enslave the black man. That was already happening. The nation was actually founded in a way that would necessitate the end of slavery.

But how often do we hear the story told like that? Not very often, I’m sure. And that’s the problem. We’ve lost our cultural confidence so much that we are either too afraid to stand up for our nation’s founding or unable to do it for lack of real historical context- thanks to the left’s takeover of the institutions of course. This is where we come in with program events like David Barton’s American History in Black and White or Seminars to teach you how to systematically engage people who have never heard or considered these truths before.

It’s a chicken and the egg story. America didn’t create slavery with it’s founding, but it did indeed adopt the principals in it’s founding that would later be used to eliminate slavery. How can that founding be considered evil? Keep that in mind when confronted with the left’s arguments for redefining marriage. The meaning of marriage came from God. It existed, like slavery, before the Founding of America. Does using government to destroy the Biblical sacrament of marriage by changing its meaning and thus rendering it meaningless serve society in the same way that eliminating slavery did? Only a leftist liberal/progressive mindset would consider marriage akin to slavery.

And now, I want to refer back to the fact that, at our nation’s founding, the black man was considered property. He wasn’t a full human. I understand that the 3-5ths clause was there to keep the pro-slavery vote down because slaveholders were only able to get 3-5ths a vote for every slave they owned instead of a full vote, thus keeping the representation for slave holding states down. I understand that this was to eventually help the anti-slavery movement defeat the pro-slavery movement democratically. But, when you’re the person only considered 3-5ths a person it really doesn’t matter the reason. Just ask those who have been denied personhood in the past, a Jew, a slave, the disabled, Indians or the pre-born child today.

When a man isn’t considered a person but rather property, it is easier for other men to beat, whip, rape, lynch, slaughter and exploit that man. And with that in mind, I want to give a brief overview of one of the things that we at the Frederick Douglass Foundation are working on. We call it the Black Personhood Initiative. We are working with other pro-life organizations to engage inner city pastors throughout the state to help get legislation introduced in New York that would establish personhood at conception. At conception, the DNA blueprint is developed and establishes a unique person. Considering the pre-born baby a person makes it harder to commit abortion on that baby. (See Am I not a Child HERE )

This is not about legislatively outlawing abortion. It’s about changing the culture. Once you have enough support and votes to make a constitutional amendment pass it really is not needed anymore. We have raised about 12 thousand dollars of our targeted 25 thousand dollars for this media campaign. We will be publically unveiling this project in mid-January. If you are interested in investing in this project please let me know.

While we desire to define all pre-born babies as persons, we call it the Black Personhood Initiative to help draw attention to the racist aspects of abortion. Democrat politicians won’t be able to sign on to this initiative, but aren’t you all looking forward to their explanations as to why they won’t sign onto a piece of legislation that defines a black baby as a person? How will those arguments sound in the inner city?

This is the kind of civil rights movement that can help start a good conversation, which can lead into teaching the real history of the Democrat Party in America.

After the black man was freed from slavery, there were still efforts to deny him personhood. The Democrat Party started the KKK to help keep freed blacks in line. We all know that, but we don’t often enough remind our liberal friends that they vote for the party of slavery, segregation, the KKK and now the black genocide of abortion. The liberals never apologize for that, but they love to call us racists. We need the cultural confidence to stand up to anyone calling us a racist. Liberal arguments are weak and fully ignorant of reality.

Share this with your liberal friends when they try to win a debate on the cheap by calling you a racist.

Charles Darwin came up with the theory that we evolved from apes in order to argue that the black man was inferior to the white man because he more resembled the ape from which he supposedly evolved. I don’t care if liberals think they evolved from monkeys. It helps explain why they act like animals. But as for me, I was made in the image of God. The liberals want to teach children that, as one more generation away from the apes, that they are superior to their parents. But my children understand that I am one generation closer to the first humans created by God. One generation closer to perfection.

But let me get back to my point. Charles Darwin’s cousin Sir Francis Galton is considered the father of eugenics. Galton made his money by trading slaves, and he used his cousin’s evolution theories to argue for the elimination of the black man from society. The American Eugenics movement spawned Planned Parenthood and the Nazi Death camps. Planned Parenthood was founded to help remove what Margaret Sanger considered “weeds” from society. She was referring to preborn black babies. If they couldn’t kill them on the streets, they’d convince them to kill themselves in the abortion mill death chambers.

Knowing that Planned Parenthoods are strategically located in the inner cities where they will more successfully pick off minorities, according to the original racist eugenics plan, ask your liberal friends why they never complain that it’s racist when white suburban girls are so often forced to drive to the ghetto to kill their baby? If the Democrats really believed in equal distribution of services, why aren’t they complaining about the lack of abortion mills in white-dominated suburbs? We know the answer, but let the liberal try to figure that one out or for that matter argue their way out of that one.

Keep this in mind too. The company that made Zyclon-B, the gas that the Nazis used to kill the Jews, also makes RU-486- the chemical abortion pill. Today in America, 1,200 black babies are killed every day in abortion mills.

According to the Tuskeegee Institute, in 86 years, the Democrat Party’s KKK lynched and killed about 3,600 blacks. Today, the Democrat Party’s abortion-mill archipelago kills as many blacks every three days as the KKK killed in 86 years. (Purchase HERE)

But when you consider a fetus just a blob of flesh, rather than a real person, that genocide becomes easier. Remember that slavery was more easily justified because the black man wasn’t a person, and the Holocaust was justified because the Jews and others liquidated weren’t considered persons. In the 40 years since Roe, while blacks represent only 13% of the population, they represent over 30% of all abortions committed in America. It’s much easier to understand why I’m a black Conservative woman when the connection is made between racist motivations behind slavery, segregation, the Democrat Party and abortion.

Like Frederick Douglass, I will not yield to the lefts’ determined efforts to culturally wussify America into a Third World Nation of non-persons devoid of cultural confidence because they allowed their culture to be destroyed, one aspect after another. I refuse to be forced into victimhood and have my motivation stolen by those who’d love nothing more than to skim off the wealth redistributed to me through what they call entitlements. While this method of cultural oppression might not be the same as slavery, it is still oppression.

And with that, I want to talk a bit about Chapter 10 of Frederick Douglass’ first autobiography, Narrative of the Life. Frederick Douglass had defied his master over and over in his pursuit of learning to read and write, and his master finally sent him off to Mr. Covey for a year. Mr. Covey was known for being so abusive that he was able to break slaves for other holders. Six months into his stay, Douglass described mental state thusly:

“Mr. Covey succeeded in breaking me. I was broken in body, soul, and spirit. My natural elasticity was crushed, my intellect languished, the disposition to read departed, the cheerful spark that lingered about my eye died; the dark night of slavery closed in upon me; and behold a man transformed into a brute!”

Days later, after Frederick made a last-ditch effort at being freed from this crazy oppression, Mr. Covey came to beat Frederick as punishment. Douglass wrote, “As soon as I found what he was up to, I gave a sudden spring, and as I did so, he holding to my legs, I was brought sprawling on the stable floor. Mr. Covey seemed now to think he had me, and could do what he pleased; but at this moment- from whence came the spirit I don’t know- I resolved to fight; and, suiting my action to the resolution, I seized Covey hard by the throat; and as I did so, I rose.”

Frederick and Covey fought for over two hours, but Frederick Douglass had in the end won. He wrote: “The whole six months afterwards, that I spent with Mr. Covey, he never laid the weight of his finger upon me in anger. He would occasionally say, he didn’t want to get hold of me again. ‘No,’ thought I, “you need not; for you will come off worse than you did before.’”

That’s the kind of confidence we need take inspiration from. The left is attacking us from every direction, destroying all of our institutions and the family unit. And too many Republicans refuse to stand up to this onslaught. It is up to us. We are the last holdouts. If we fail to preserve the elements in our Constitution that guarantee us our rights and instead allow the left to interpret these rights as rights of the government to control us, there will be no more freedom. FREEDOM – We need to preserve it. We are already being turned into debt slaves as our government continues to borrow some 40 cents of every dollar it spends. We must not accept the dominance of the Karl Rovian Republican Squish assembly line.

History is on our side, and it is our job to conserve what’s great about America. Trickle Down Government doesn’t preserve freedom. It destroys it.
